The iPET Network Level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming and Introduction to Styling is designed for those who would like to learn to groom on a professional basis and then either open their own dog grooming business or work in a salon as a qualified dog groomer. 

No previous qualifications or experience are necessary to complete this course. Therefore, you do not need to hold a Level 2 qualification to undertake it. 

We offer flexible training for our courses. Attendance can be from 1 – 5 days a week, as preferred. 

This course provides learners with an introduction to dog grooming along with the legislation surrounding this profession. Learners who complete this course can look to work as a groomer in a salon environment. 

This is an Ofqual regulated qualification awarded by the iPET Network and you will receive a recognised certificate on completion.

What’s involved?

The first day will begin with a health and safety induction, along with a tour of our facilities. During each day of the course, you will have the opportunity to style and finish a number of different dog breeds. 

The course will run for 18 days practically. There will be 9 theory to complete outside of the course hours to provide underpinning knowledge to your vocational skill development.

• Health and Safety in a Dog Grooming Environment
• Promote the Welfare of Dogs Conforming with Relevant Legislation
• Assess and Plan Dog Grooming Styles and Maintenance of Equipment
• Health Checking, Handling and Canine Behaviour
• Prepare, Style and Finish a Selection of Dog Breeds
