This qualification has been developed to provide underpinning knowledge and understanding of the tools, methods and techniques used to keep the skin, hair and nails of dogs in optimum condition.

It is an ideal choice for professionals such as dog groomers, trainers and pet retailers. The modules delve into the anatomy and physiology of the hair, skin and nails and considers the use of grooming products and techniques as well as the importance of nutrition to promote good health. It looks at how a dogs skin/coat can be impacted upon by its health.

This is an Ofqual regulated qualification awarded by the iPET Network and you will receive a recognised certificate on completion.

Whilst this qualification can be completed online and remotely, the theory is taught in an interactive classroom environment. Providing you with  the necessary support to complete the qualification. Step by step guidance is given for the e-portfolio system, making it user friendly for all abilities.

You will need to complete:

• Three theory sessions taught directly on Microsoft Teams by a qualified tutor
• Two workbooks to answer at your own pace remotely

Plenty of help is on hand throughout the duration of the course. Several resources are available to download online. The tutor will be readily available to offer support and directly answer any questions you may have.
