The iPET Level 3 Award in an Introduction to Dog Grooming is an excellent foundation course and suitable for those looking to work in the dog grooming industry. 

No previous qualifications or experience are necessary to complete this course. Therefore, you do not need to hold a Level 2 qualification to undertake it. 

We run very flexibly here at the academy. Attendance can be from 1 to 5 days a week, as preferred. 

Progression Route: Learners who complete this course can look to work as a dog grooming assistant or progress on to the iPET Level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming and Introduction to Styling. 

What’s involved?

The course will start with a health and safety induction along with a tour of our facilities. During each day of the course, you will be given the opportunity to bath, dry and prepare several dogs. 

The aim of this qualification is for you to be able to bath, dry, prepare and complete basic styling of several dog breeds. 

The course runs for 8 days in total. This includes 6 practical days and 2 theory days. 

The course consists of both practical and theory training elements and covers the two modules below:

• Health and Safety in a Dog Grooming Environment
• Prepare, Style and Finish several Dog Breeds
