The Advanced Companion CPCR and First Aid course is a one day interactive course suitable for both pet professionals and pet owners. It covers a wide range of useful content and is a fully accredited OCN qualification. The course is interactive, combining both theory and practical elements to give you confidence in your skills. The main focus of this course is companion animals such as dogs and cats. It will provide you with current up to date information that is taught throughout the day, ensuring you are learning the most recent practices. 

Pet First Aid Course content:

Upon successful completion of the course students will receive an accredited certificate.

The course consists of the following:-    

– Principles of first aid and current legislation

– Restraint and transportation

– Animal Assessment

– Resuscitation

– First aid conditions and their management

– Wound management and bandaging.

The compiled programme uses effective replicas as animal substitutes for the practical tasks, whilst Resusci-pet manikins are used to allow you to practice CPR realistically. On completion you will receive an in depth course manual that you can use as a reference point for advice.

Students are assessed throughout the day and will be provided with a certificate when a pass is confirmed.
